Why Brunch at Big Easy’s is a good idea

Eating out in London can be tiresome. Mainly due to the lack of variety outside of a high-end budget. Living in the city is expensive and although there is plenty to do its hard to find somewhere authentic that really offers quality and value for money. Enter; Big Easy.

Inspired by the 19th century crab shacks and BBQ of the American Gulf coast, Big Easy offers tasty BBQ food, drink and cocktails.

The chain currently has 3 restaurants in London located on Kings Road in Chelsea and in both Covent Garden and Canary Wharf. Full details of locations can be found HERE.

The restaurant has various offers throughout the week (lots of seafood deals) but its crown jewel is its Weekend brunch. On a Saturday or Sunday between 11am and 4pm,you can purchase the Big Easy bottomless Brunch for £29.50 (plus £3.69 if you’re leaving a tip). Now this price alone is a rather reasonable amount to pay per head to eat anywhere. But this £29.50 comes with something extra; 2 hours of unlimited food and drink!

Your 2 hours begin from the time of your booking and the restaurant will only hold your table for 15 minutes if you’re running late.

Ok let’s get down to the important stuff!

What do you get for brunch?!

Drinks include Prosecco, Big Easy’s own brew, Frozen Bacardi Mojitos and house wine.

Drinks can be mixed and matched throughout the 2 hours however I’m obviously not recommending you have one of everything (if you do attempt this send me photos!) . We started with a couple of mojitos and then drank Prosecco throughout our meal.

The huge selection of food brought out to our table of 4 was magnificent (see amazing photo above). The selection included; BBQ Chicken quarters, BBQ rib short stacks, Pulled pork, Corn bread, Chips, BBQ beaked beans and Slaw’.  As soon as this was finished they would just bring out another one! Well, i say another one, Prosecco is pretty filling so we only got through this and a small second helping. We did however manage 5 bottles of Prosecco and 8 frozen mojitos! LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS IF YOU DO BETTER!

3 of us also opted for a dessert…

The dressed up scoops of ice cream are very cool! At £6.90 this is the blueberry cheesecake flavour which also comes with a pipette of sloe gin. The idea though, is that you squeeze the pipette into the ice cream, not straight into your mouth.

The apple brown Betty is served with Bourbon custard and was the first dessert finished! Costing £5.90, I’d go for this next time instead of……

Iron skillet s’mores fondue with graham crackers.

Having just got back from Orlando I thought this dessert would help me reminisce of my recent adventure. However, this dessert was EXTREMLY SWEET. I love marshmallows and graham crackers but this was just too rich (and messy for me). Costing the same as the apple brown Betty, I’ll defo be choosing that on my next visit.

The restaurant is busy with a vibe that’s authentic American BBQ shack. Overall this place is spot on. I’m yet to find somewhere i can eat and drink to this standard for £30 and I’m already booked in with my family to eat here again in 2 weeks.
